Really, Life? WTF?

Sweet! Kiddo gets to go to summer school! That's because with all his 11th grade reading level, his happy little 7th grade ass can't seem to muster up the oomph to color in a map.

You think I'm kidding, but I'm not.

The good news is, it only costs $50. And what, with his $25 in cash and the $25 gift card, he ALMOST has enough to pay for it himself, since he managed to fail himself. But before you think that's New Math on my part, see, gift cards only have a 1/2-worth trade in value at SBDville. So he still needs to come up with $12.50. BUT! And this is the part that REALLY excites Tardtastico, the neighbors have agreed to let him wash their vehicles all summer in exchange for $10.

That'll really make him appreciate the value of avoiding a lifetime of manual labor jobs by way of actually valuing his education.

I'm ever so proud of Tardtastico! Bless his little challenged self.

Wait, does that sound mean?

Oh, well, it's meant with love, even if it doesn't sound like it. Just know that it comes after months and years of expressing his parent's wishes for him to have a prosperous life, where daily needs won't have to be a struggle and a sacrifice for him. Perhaps it will take personal experience for him to realize.

Le sigh.

In other news, Thursday, as I was exiting the 7/11 parking lot, the Kia's front fender was rammed by a reversing Crown Vic. Thankfully, the woman who hit me not only didn't have teeth, but she didn't have a license or insurance either. So! It'll only cost me another $1000 for the deductible to once again be able to open the passenger door.
