Know what's a really, really bad idea? Putting your crusty car mats in the washing machine so they can smell pretty and be all clean and sparkly in the car when you carpool with your work buddies to the company retreat.
That was the impression I got anyways, seeing all the smoke coming out the top of my washer. Well, then and when I had to scoop a whole tub of water out of the washer with a Koolaid pitcher and a cup. Thankfully, my knuckles are only a little bit scraped from the spinner do-hickey that doesn't spin anymore.
But on the up side, my home warranty insurance expired last month, so I get to pay full price for a whole new washing machine!!
