Alright. Who did it? Who stole my energy? Dammit, I'm tired, and I want my energy back!
Yeah, so I've completed the foster parenting pre-service training courses, all 27 hours of them. Yup, did it after work last week and all day on Saturday. Phew. Man, that was a lot to chew. Enough to make ya sick AND want to cut some balls off people. The instructors are very careful though when they tell you mutilating sickos is frowned upon.
I'm supposed to be cleaning my assy house tonight, too, cuz the licensor (sp?) will be here at 8:30 in the morning for our first meeting. Eff, I'm tired. Let her see the dust bunnies. And if you knew how completely neurotically anal I am about needing my house immaculate for guests, you'd be shocked that I'm OK with the bunnies.
Tomorrow Steven goes off to camp for the first time in his young little life. He's going to be gone for four days. We've been singing camp songs for a week, so by this time, I'm 'bout ready to boot his butt out the front door whilst telling him, "Miss you, honey!! (not really)"
Eff, Jesus.
p.s. Carl Jr. has the best burgers I've ever eaten in my whole LIFE! It was practically religious.
p.s.s. I got the job! Well, I got half the job. It's the half I lovingly call, "shit." No, I kid. It's just the internal portion of QC & Training. I'll still be doing in charge of all the full time new hire training, and the annual reviews, and collaborating with the Big Boss on the training and procedural curicula (sp? again). So, that's cool. Only because it's only half of Brazen Hussy's job, they wouldn't give me a raise. Bummer.
So I'm taking over for B.H. and Manager in Training will be taking over my current job. His current job will be taken over by another co-worker, and we hired a temp to fill the fourth position. Yeah, so we have 7 weeks to train all four of us. Good times. Tomorrow night I get to start taking home QC. Ha - that's 6 weeks before my training starts! What the hell. Quality's* all relative anyway.
*Actually, I've been in the field for over 10 years and spent the better part of 2006 in the position I will be QCing, so I actually probably already know what I'm doing even without training.
